Bluevine Brand

Buevine, founded in 2013, is a small business banking platform offering business owners easier and frictionless access to their capital needs.

For the first year in Bluevine, I was the sole creative designer for all of the company’s marketing needs. The creative agency, Ueno, had recently done an identity refresh for them, but there were still many assets that needed to align to the new system.

I worked closely with marketers, product designers, engineers, HR, and business development teams to bring cohesion to all of their assets while also evolving them.

A collage of six illustrations including a hand with a red cuff, a cloud of blue soap bubbles, a profile of a woman with blonde hair and blue eye, a box of tissues, a red and white circular chart, and a pool with a floating ball and a towel.

During my two year stay, we expanded the color palette, redesigned the iconography, and created an illustration style for the company making banking more expressive and still a trustworthy source for small business owners.

We developed clean social media layouts, mailers, decks, clean ads, emails, and further refined the website and landing pages.
